This time around, Barn Finds are more contextual and more varied than ever before.Īnother new feature in Forza Horizon 5 is the addition of Gift Drops, which are personalized Barn Finds that players can give to the community. However, some Barn Finds in Forza Horizon 5 can only be discovered by doing specific things, like completing Expeditions. Just like before, Barn Finds can be "revealed" by exploring the map and at different times or seasons. By seeking out Barn Finds, FH5 players can augment their collection with hidden entries on the Forza Horizon 5 car list, providing a lot of incentive to explore wherever you go.įorza Horizon 5's Barn Finds behave a little differently than in previous Forza Horizon games. These cars need to be tracked down and recovered from the dilapidated homes they're abandoned in, and then restored to their former glory. In Forza Horizon 5, the answer is pretty similar (if a bit more on the nose), as Barn Finds are legendary classics hidden throughout the world. In the real world, "barn find" refers to finding an old classic vehicle and restoring it. That all said, I was not aware the FE’s were getting visual treats this time around, which is definitely an added and more interesting value out from the base version.Source: Windows Central (Image credit: Source: Windows Central) If something is going to get some sort of performance buff, I would much rather see the numbered cars, real race cars with real stories, get that kind of consideration. (And now that I think about it, and to your point, I also recall you saying once long ago the Falcon FE was one of your personal online go-to’s at that time though I may be mistaken, if so, my apologies.) I just get so salty when I think about all the many clones added into the game to me that sort of gimmick is a total slap in the face to players. Nova FE was one of the strongest, and others did have utility in certain areas the aforementioned are exactly why I included “with few exceptions” in my statement. Gone are the days of a M6 FE that only had different perks. This time PG upped the ante with them again - at least visually…Performance remains to be seen but visually they are very distinct from the base cars. Nova FE was one of the best A800 cars in Horizon 4. Every FE introduced means one less opportunity for a desirable highly requested car to be added to the roster. Clone cars with small +whatever attributes add little to the game beyond garage clutter. I’m sure we’ll see them again in future playlists, not to mention the auction house.įorza Editions are, with few exceptions, junk throw-aways. It’s a good way to make those Forza Editions a little more exclusive feeling, and add appeal to the first series. However, if the other cars are Forza Edition versions of the cars, and the base cars are in the autoshow, I’m A-OK with that. The DeLorean situation doesn’t sit right with me. I’m fine with that prospect when it comes to new content (cars) being added to the game, but for cars that are launching with the game, that really doesn’t sit right with me. There is a more than 0% chance that I won’t be able to play one of those weeks. Or, starting from zero, would you rather come up with a few hundred million credits first for the autoshow? Consider it a blessing that you have the opportunity to earn it for free via 20 min of playlist (approximation) early in the game instead of having to find the time to grind all those credits. If it’s so important and precious to you, then jump through their little hoop and unlock it. I mean I’m okay with the Delorean being locked, but seeing the main cover car being locked as well seems both alarming and disappointing for me, if you can confirm that they are available on the Autoshow… it would help.
